Family Sessions Welcome Guide - Click Portrait Art

WELCOME to the Click Portrait Art Family, and THANK YOU for choosing Click! We understand that portraits of your family are an investment, and we take our job very seriously to give you an end product that fills you with joy and emotion.

This guide will walk you through all of the details you need to prepare for your session. So, read up! We can’t wait to work with you and create some amazing portrait art!

What’s included in your portrait session

Depending on whether you are booking a Click Mini session or Click Signature session, a session only or a package, will determine the details of what is included with your portrait session.

Session fee, up to 5 people (mini Session, 20-30 minutes/Signature Session, 60 minutes)
Print release for any digital files that are included. Digital files are included with Click Mini or Click Signature packages. (Digital files are not included with the session-only option)
Online image gallery for viewing your proofs, plus all the help you need to complete your order.
Prints and products are available by collection or a la carte

Things to Know About Your Session

Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to your session location. We’ll begin shooting promptly at your scheduled time. If you are late, that will cut into your session time. We have other sessions to photograph and need to stay on schedule. Please make sure everyone that will be photographed is ready to go.

If you have little kiddos, be sure to bring some snacks and a drink if we are shooting outside of your home.

If you need to postpone your scheduled session, kindly give us at least 48 hours notice.

The Session

We like to keep things low-key and relaxed. When there is too much stress and worrying involved, everyone picks up on it, and your portraits will reflect that. Besides… who wants to go through life stressed all the time! Just try to roll with the punches. If your kids aren’t cooperating, relax. We’ll take care of working through it. We know that you are investing in your portraits and want everything to go perfectly, but nothing in life is perfect and that is actually part of the beauty in this process! In other words, relax and roll with it. Leave it to us to make sure your images are amazing!

For little kids, sometimes they take a while to warm up – sometimes we like to photograph the whole family first so your kids can get comfortable. Sometimes we like to let them decide where they want to sit/stand for a couple of shots just to put them at ease. Please know that the first few images of a session might not be the perfect ones, just because we’re getting everyone into the swing of things.

We don’t like to bribe kids, and we don’t like to force them to do anything they don’t want to do. If they aren’t cooperating, we will move on to something different. Bribing can go south really fast, so just don’t even try it.

Bring some snacks and drinks that don’t stain for your kiddos in case they get hungry

If the weather is going to be chilly, bring a wrap or something similar to keep warm while we are changing groupings or walking to a new backdrop.

Mini sessions last 20-30 minutes. If you are looking for a family portrait plus portraits of your children, you may want to book a Signature session, as 20-30 minutes isn’t much time to accomplish all of that.

The balance of your session fee or package is due on the day of your session. We accept cash, check or credit cards.

What to Expect After your Session

Now what? Your session is done and you can’t wait to see your images. We are excited to share them with you!

Give us a little bit of time – a week or two to get everything edited for you to view. Amazing images take time, so we appreciate your patience. We will post a sneak peek on Facebook and/or our blog to tide you over, and PLEASE feel free to share your sneak peek with everyone you know! (Ask us about our referral program!)
We’ll present your images to you in an online image gallery. It will be password protected, but you can share with anyone you like. Your images will be full edited, and you can order right from the gallery to make things easy for you!
You can expect around 10-12 images to choose from if you’ve booked a Mini Session. If you’ve booked a Click Signature session, you’ll have at least 25.
VERY IMPORTANT- once we post your images in the online gallery, this gallery will be available for 1 week. Should you need additional time, there is a $50 fee per week to keep the gallery online. It helps us run our business more efficiently so that we can focus on what we love best – creating amazing photography. So please, please help us out!

Click Portrait Art Policies – VERY IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ!

Absolutely NO photography or video of your session is allowed.
Please turn off your cell phone during your session. It is extremely distracting and disruptive for everyone involved. If you feel the need to make a call, please step away from the action while you do so.
For outdoor sessions, we reserve the right to postpone the session for a later date within 4 weeks.
Sessions may be rescheduled by the client once; otherwise the retainer will be forfeited.
A retainer is required to reserve your session day/time. The retainer is $100 and will be applied toward your session fee, of which the remainder is due at the time of your session. We take cash, check, Venmo, PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, Amex and Discover.
There is $100 minimum for re-orders. Current pricing will apply.
Pricing is subject to change without notice, but current pricing at the time of booking is honored for one week after image galleries are posted online.
To make room for new clients, digital images will be purged from our system 60 days after your session. Order what you want now to avoid losing images.
Ordered images will be archived in our system for one year, for holiday cards and re-orders.
Printing, copying, downloading or scanning images without written consent is strictly prohibited and punishable by law.
